Port City Raceway's Non-Wing Showcase Benefits A Good Cause
The Non-Wing Showcase benefiting the Rayce Rudeen Foundation at Port City Raceway will feature some of the nation's top Micro Sprint racers.
A group of the nation's best Micro Sprint racers will converge at Port City Raceway this weekend to battle for a big win and race for a good cause. The Non-Wing Showcase will pay $7,500 to win and benefit the Rayce Rudeen Foundation, a foundation which empowers communities to fight addiction by focusing on prevention, treatment and recovery.
Recognized as one of the top Micro Sprint tracks in the country, the competition at Port City will be fierce throughout the event.
As announced earlier this week, national Midget standout Cannon McIntosh will be competing in the event behind the wheel of a car owned by NASCAR Cup Series driver Christopher Bell.
Multi-time Tulsa Shootout winner Frank Flud, who recorded 10 A-Class wins and eight Non-Wing victories last season at Port City, is also expected to be in competition.
Defending A-Class and Non-Wing champion Kris Carroll will also be on the list of favorites to take home the big prize.
The three-day event at Port City will begin Thursday night with practice for all divisions. A full show will be held Friday night with the top four finishers in the A-Main locking into Saturday night's main event.
In addition to Saturday's $7,500-to-win Non-Wing Outlaw main event, Non-Wing Jr Sprints will be racing for $500 to win and Non-Wing Restrictors will be racing for $1,000 to win.
For those unable to make it to Port City Raceway this weekend, FloRacing will be offering a live broadcast on Friday and Saturday night. If you're not already a subscriber, click here to join today.
