Kyle Larson And FloSports Announce New Dirt Track Race
NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson and FloSports are partnering to host the FloRacing Late Model Challenge Powered by Tezos at Volunteer Speedway.
2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Larson and leading sports streaming service, FloSports, are joining forces to bring a new event to the grassroots racing landscape. The two parties announced Friday the Kyle Larson Presents, FloRacing Late Model Challenge Powered by Tezos will be held Thursday, April 14 at Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee.
The Dirt Late Model event will be held three days prior to the NASCAR Cup Series Food City Dirt Race at nearby Bristol Motor Speedway. Volunteer Speedway is high-banked, 4/10-mile dirt oval located less than one hour away from Bristol. This will provide race fans with the opportunity to witness a one-of-a-kind grassroots racing event at one of the country's best dirt tracks prior to the highly-anticipated race weekend at Bristol.
"This is pretty cool. I'm excited to partner with FloRacing and Volunteer Speedway on this event," Larson said in a press release announcing the event. "I hope we can get a few NASCAR guys to participate in the event for some extra preparation leading into the Bristol dirt race."
The FloRacing Late Model Challenge Powered by Tezos will not be Larson's first foray into motorsports promotion. He also co-promotes Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, California with three-time World of Outlaws champion Brad Sweet.
Larson and the promotional team for the event will be pulling out all the stops to make this event special for racers and fans in attendance. Additionally, FloRacing will be the exclusive broadcast partner for the event, with the live broadcast beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, April 14.
"Kyle Larson is widely recognized as one of the best drivers in the world and we are excited to collaborate with him on this race," said Michael Rigsby, Vice President of Motorsports, FloSports. "We're building an awesome event that we hope fans will love. This is going to be an incredible weekend of racing in Tennessee and FloRacing will be there to bring all the action to fans tuning in around the world."
The Kyle Larson Presents, FloRacing Late Model Challenge Powered By Tezos will continue FloSports' continued investment into the growth and popularity of grassroots motorsports. This special event joins the successful Castrol® FloRacing Night In America as the second racing property developed by FloSports over the past two years.
The 2022 Castrol® FloRacing Night In America series will come to life on Tuesday, April 12 at Tony Stewart's Eldora Speedway.
