Who Are The Super Teams At Lucas Oil Chili Bowl?

At a near stunning 400 entries, the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Midget Nationals packs trailers of all shapes and sizes into Tulsa’s SageNet Center.

Off the bat, there’s your solo squads that share the bulk of the record-breaking total, which sits at 391 cars currently. This group features notables such as Brady Bacon driving for family friends TKH Motorsports, Daryn Pittman in his own entry, and Blake Hahn in his own car, amongst many others.

The multi-car operations are next and just as lethal. This is highlighted by hitters like Kyle Larson Racing, Alex Bowman Racing, Chase Briscoe Racing, RAMS Racing, Klatt Enterprises, Jim Neuman Racing, Six 8 Motorsports, Hayward Motorsports, and more.

Finally, the super teams. These are your full-blown organizations that go all-out for these seven days in Tulsa, and even plan much of the year around it. We’re here to look at six of the most revered powerhouses entering next week’s 36th annual spectacle.

Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports

There’s no dynasty in Midget racing quite like the mammoth monster that Keith Kunz and Pete Willoughby have built in Columbus, Indiana. When it comes to the Expo, they’ve ruled the Chili Bowl with nine titles from six drivers including Andy Hillenburg, Sammy Swindell, Jay Drake, Tony Stewart, Rico Abreu, and Christopher Bell.

This year, a jaw-dropping 15 entries will roll out of the KKM trailer. The return of Christopher Bell, who won three straight Chili Bowl titles (2017-19) before departing for two years, highlights the list with a stout lineup of three cars per nights on prelims.
