"Florida's Crown Jewel Event" returns to All-Tech Raceway this weekend with big money up for grabs. The Powell Family Memorial for Crate Racin' USA Late Models will pay $26,000 to the driver who crosses the finish line first on Saturday night. 

Since the event's inception in 1996, the Powell Family Memorial has served as one of the biggest race of the year in the state of Florida. After stints at Bubba Raceway Park, Citrus County Speedway and Volusia Speedway Park, the race landed at All-Tech Raceway for the first time in 2020. 

The history of the race is unique in the fact that it has been held on both dirt and pavement racing surfaces, including both types of surfaces at Bubba Raceway Park. 

Pavement racing star Wayne Anderson holds the record for most wins in the event with six. Defending race winner Mark Whitener will have a chance to tie Anderson's record with a win on Saturday. 

In addition to Whitener, a full field of drivers is expected after the race attracted 70 Late Models in 2020. 

"Hunt the Front" YouTube sensation Joseph Joiner will be in attendance looking to add to the $50,000 Super Bee 100 win he recently scored. 

Florida star Kyle Bronson will be chasing his first victory in the event and he'll be bringing along a friend. National Dirt Late Model star Jimmy Owens will be behind the wheel of a Kyle Bronson Motorsports prepared No. 20 this weekend. 

Other drivers currently planning to compete this weekend include two-time race winner Ivedent Lloyd Jr. and Tennessee star Cory Hedgecock. 

The action at All-Tech Raceway begins Thursday night with practice from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET. 

Qualifying and heat races will be held for the Powell Memorial on Friday night, as well as a $1,500-to-win Crate Racin' USA Street Stock feature. Hot laps will kick things off at 7 p.m. ET. 

That all leads into Saturday's 67-lap, $26,000-to-win main event for the Crate Racin' USA Late Models. Prior to the main event, there will be B-Mains and a Non-Qualifiers Race for Late Models. Pure Stocks will be in action for a 30-lap, $1,500-to-win show. Hot laps get the night started at 6 p.m. ET.
