It’s door cars versus dragsters at the 9th Annual Pro Mod vs Fuel Altered Showdown on June 25-26 at Xtreme Raceway Park in Ferris, Texas! Running heads-up with no rules, the event aims to answer the question of which body type is truly superior with the ultimate showdown of the wildest, fastest, most unpredictable drag racing machines.

Celebrating its ninth running, the epic rivalry between Outlaw Pro Mods and Outlaw Fuel Altereds spans nearly two decades. However, the predecessor to the race, the Pro Mod vs Fuel Altered Challenge at Texas’s Lone Star Raceway Park, was created in 2002 and only ran for two years.

Outlaw Fuel Altered media director and series photographer Chris Graves was on site for both runnings and knew the event needed to continue. Thanks to his initiative and hard work, Graves was able to revive the experience in 2013. Now, his Pro Mod vs Fuel Altered Showdown has become one of the biggest and baddest drag races of the summer in the North Texas area with the side-by-side battle of big tire cars.
