Kyle Larson returns to the seat of the Keith Kunz Motorsports/Curb-Agajanian No. 97 USAC Midget when the series arrives this Saturday at Dirt Oval 66.
Fifteen-time USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget winner Kyle Larson returns to the seat of the Keith Kunz Motorsports/Curb-Agajanian No. 97 when the series arrives this Saturday, June 29, at Dirt Oval 66 in Joliet, Ill.
Elk Grove’s Larson, a five-time Monster Energy Cup Series winner, has made a pair of USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget starts in 2019, both during “Indiana Midget Week.” He finished 3rd in his first outing at Gas City I-69 Speedway, then proceeded to set a new one-lap track record the following night at Lincoln Park Speedway. There, he was contending for the win on the final lap when he flipped over the turn two cushion.
His 15 career wins with the series are ranked 45th all-time, tied alongside Don Branson and Larry Rice.
Larson will pull double-duty alongside his midget racing duties Saturday in his first ever visit to the 3/8-mile dirt oval in Joliet. He will also be competing in the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions/Bumper-to-Bumper IRA Sprint Car event.
The parking lot opens at Noon (Central), front gates at 3pm, pre-race party at 3pm and cars on track at 6:45pm.
Adult general admission tickets are $25, children general admission is $10, reserved adult tickets are $30, adult pit passes are $40 apiece and children pit passes are $10.
