USAC Stat Book: NOS Energy Drink National Midgets
USAC Stat Book: NOS Energy Drink National Midgets
Entering this Saturday’s USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget race at the Dirt Oval 66, three CMR teammates lead every major statistical category.
Entering this Saturday’s first USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget racing at the Dirt Oval 66 since 2004, Tyler Courtney and Clauson Marshall Racing remain atop the standings in the series driver and owner points.
Courtney upped his series-leading win total to five during the recent “Indiana Midget Week” and remains, to this point, the only driver to win more than once. The Indianapolis, Ind. native leads or shares the top spot in every major statistical category along with CMR teammates Zeb Wise (Angola, Ind.) and Chris Windom (Canton, Ill.)
C.J. Leary (Greenfield, Ind.) remains at the head of the Rookie class despite missing the past two races, allowing Jesse Colwell (Red Bluff, Calif.) to close with 13 markers. Leary is in pursuit of a third USAC National RoY after previous winning the Sprint (2012) and Silver Crown (2015) in previous seasons. Ryan Newman remains the only driver to pull off that particular hat trick.
Here’s a look the series stat leaders coming into this weekend’s event.
