Aaron Reutzel is on the mend after he broke his nose during Saturday's Kubota High Limit Racing opener at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway where a rock reportedly pierced through his visor in the seven-lap Dash.

The former All Star Circuit Champions title winner spent Saturday night at a nearby hospital and has been discharged where the 34-year-old's recovery is Ridge & Sons Racing's "number one priority," the Knoxville, Iowa-based team said in a press release issued by Fully Injected Motorsports on Monday.

"We’re going to be evaluating things day to day,” RSR co-owners Brian and Lisa Ridge said in a joint statement. “We want to thank everyone who reached out to check on Aaron and his status. From all of us at RSR, as well as Aaron’s family, we appreciate everything. We hope to be back on track before we know it.”

Reutzel's status is ultimately up in the air for Wednesday's Kubota High Limit Racing event at Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, Calif. The Ridge-owned team said Monday that Reutzel and the RSR No. 87 group are "scheduled to continue" their High Limit Racing pursuits Wednesday in Tulare, but Reutzel's availability "is still to be determined."

Reutzel was supposed to start eighth in Saturday's 30-lap, $25,000-to-win feature at the Las Vegas half-mile, but Justin Sanders took the green in the RSR No. 87 instead while Reutzel received medical attention. Sanders appeared to start and park the RSR No. 87 to finish 27th, which still earned Reutzel and the team 25 points.

If Reutzel can't return Wednesday, then he'll try and get back on the racetrack Friday at Kevin Harvick's Kern Raceway in Bakersfield, Calif., and/or Saturday at Perris (Calif.) Auto Speedway.
