After East Bay Raceway Park's closure, the Wieland Winternationals settles into its new home this week at Ocala Speedway for five nights of racing on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series.
Ricky Thornton Jr. led all 50 laps from the front row Friday for his third win in his seventh series start to begin the 2025 campaign. Thornton, who pocketed $12,000 for the victory, topped Hudson O'Neal and Lucas Oil points leader Devin Moran on the podium.
Bobby Pierce, joining Ocala action for the first time Friday, finished fourth. Wednesday's and Thursday's winner Jonathan Davenport rounded out the top-five. Daulton Wilson was the biggest mover of the feature, finishing eighth from the 24th-starting spot.
