2025 Wild West Shootout Entry List: Who's Racing At Vado Speedway Park?
A look at the list of prospective entry list for the 2025 Wild West Shootout at Vado Speedway Park.
Another jam-packed year of Dirt Late Model racing is ready to commence four days into the New Year as the 19th annual Rio Grande Waste Services Wild West Shootout presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts takes over FK Rod Ends Vado Speedway Park on Jan. 4-12.
Fifty-six drivers from all across North America are on the event's prospective entry list as of Dec. 30, with eight drivers from DirtonDirt.com's 2024 season-ending Top 25 poll headlining the roster: No. 1 Bobby Pierce, No. 7 Brandon Sheppard, No. 9 Mike Marlar, No. 12 Tyler Erb, No. 13 Garrett Alberson, No. 15 Dale McDowell, No. 20 Cade Dillard, and No. 25 Drake Troutman.
McDowell will be aboard a Riggs Motorsports race car for at least Jan. 4's opener as the 58-year-old is only expected to race a few of the six Wild West Shootout races.

Other notable names on the Wild West Shootout prospective entry list include 2025 World of Outlaws rookie contender Ethan Dotson, 2024 Snowball Derby winner Kaden Honeycutt, back-to-back I-5 Silver Bullet Series champion Bricen James, former WoO campaigner Chase Junghans, 2025 WoO rookie contender Dillon McCowan, the versatile Max McLaughlin, 2022 Dirt Track World Championship winner Garrett Smith, 2024 WoO Rookie of the Year in Dustin Sorensen, and former NASCAR Cup Series driver Matt Tifft.
Canada's Ricky Weiss and Chihuahua, Mexico's Keko Perez give the Wild West Shootout international flavor as well. Last year's Wild West Shootout finale winner Kyle Larson will not make his third straight trip to the Vado 3/8-mile oval, competing in four divisions at the Tulsa Shootout on Dec. 31-Jan. 4 and the Chili Bowl Nationals on Jan. 12-18 instead.
The Wild West Shootout officially begins with Saturday's $25,000-to-win feature and continues with $10,000-to-win shows on Sunday, Jan. 5; Wednesday, Jan. 8; Friday, Jan. 10; and Saturday, Jan. 11 before Sunday, Jan. 12's $25,000-to-win finale.
