Tanner Thorson To Compete In Remaining USAC Midget Races In 2024
Tanner Thorson has joined forces with a familiar team to tackle the remaining seven USAC National Midget races in California.
Tanner Thorson will join the USAC National Midget Series for the remainder of the 2024 season on the west coast. The 2016 USAC National Midget champion and 2022 Chili Bowl winner will drive for Tom Malloy in the No. 25 as a teammate to Jacob Denney.
Thorson competed with High Limit Racing in 2024, finishing 13th in points and recording a victory during a prelim night at the Gold Cup Race of Champions in Chico, California.
Thorson has 29 career USAC National Midget wins which ranks him 14th on the all-time wins list. His 2016 USAC National Midget title came while driving for Keith Kunz Motorsports.
The USAC National Midget west coast swing will begin at Placerville Speedway in Placerville, California on November 15-16 for the Hangtown 100. From there, the series will travel to Thunderbowl Raceway in Tulare, California on November 20.
Merced Speedway will host the series November 22-23 before a trip to Bakersfield Speedway on November 26. The prestigious Turkey Night Grand Prix will end the season at Ventura Raceway on November 30.
