Kyle Busch, Brexton Busch Win Dirt Championships On Same Night
Kyle Busch and son Brexton Busch each won a Micro Sprint championship at Millbridge Speedway on Wednesday night.
Wednesday night at North Carolina’s Millbridge Speedway was a night that the Busch family will remember for a long time as both Kyle Busch and Brexton Busch captured championships at the same track on the same night.
Two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch is no stranger to winning championships, obviously, but he has made a true, concerted effort to excel at open-wheel dirt racing in Micros the last couple of years. And it finally paid off on Wednesday night as Kyle took the championship in the 600cc Winged class at the 1/6-mile oval in Salisbury, North Carolina. Not only did he win the championship, but he won the season-ending race as well, giving him four victories on the season.

I was crowned the Restricted Micro champion last night at Millbridge! It was a fun year, winning four times, and also getting to celebrate with my dad as he won his division!@SERVPRO l @SportClips l @Lucas_Oil pic.twitter.com/1CkjEmLRbz
Meanwhile, the nine-year-old Brexton also captured a championship on Wednesday night. The younger Busch finished second in the season-ending race, but his four wins on the season propelled him to the championship in the Restricted Micro division.
Brexton also finished third in points in the Box Stock division on Tuesday night, with another four victories on the year in that class.
The driver that Brexton Busch lost the race to on Wednesday night was another well-known second-generation racer. That driver was Owen Larson, the son of Kyle Larson.
