Short Track Nationals Entry List Features National Sprint Car Stars
The Short Track Nationals at Texarkana 67 Speedway will feature many recognizable names from the 410 Sprint Car ranks.
The Short Track Nationals return this weekend, November 1-2 at its new home, Texarkana 67 Speedway with the return of 410 Sprint Cars to the 37th running of the event. The latest entry list for the ASCS Elite Outlaw sanctioned event has been updated to show 31 drivers set to go on Friday and Saturday, with national names set to take on the local favorites over two days for $20,000.
Former NASCAR Cup Series driver Kasey Kahne is the latest entrant into the Short Track Nationals. The Kubota High Limit Sprint Car Series regular is joined by fellow High Rollers Brenham Crouch and Chris Windom, along with two-time defending Knoxville Raceway track champion Austin McCarl and former All Star Circuit of Champions champion Aaron Reutzel.
High Limit Racing driver Justin Peck, who was recently announced as the new driver of the Rudeen Racing No. 26 ride, is also expected to compete in the event but is not listed on the current entry list.
World of Outlaws regular Landon Crawley is taking advantage of a rare off-weekend with the series to return to his home state for a race that his father Tim won in 1998. Former ASCS National champion and the race’s most recent winner Sam Hafertepe Jr. returns in search of his third win in the event.
The full entry list can be found below.
The Short Track Nationals started in 1988 at I-30 Speedway as a 410 Sprint Car race, but was run as a 360 event for most of its history. After I-30 permanently closed at the end of the 2022 season, the race was then moved southwest from Little Rock to Texarkana 67 Speedway. This weekend will be the first Short Track Nationals held at Texarkana after last year’s event was rained out.
Friday night’s preliminary night will feature twin-20 lap features, sending the top two finishers from each race to Saturday’s Dash For Cash and the main event. Following heat races on Saturday night, the top two drivers in passing points will join the Dash For Cash, while drivers in 7th-14th will transfer to the A-Main, with the remainder of the field to be filled by B-Main transfers.
Both nights of the Short Track Nationals at Texarkana 67 Speedway will be aired live on FloRacing. Click here to sign up today.
