One of the most lethal pairings in modern Dirt Late Model racing will reunite for two major events in November.

Three-time Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series champion Jonathan Davenport and Longhorn Chassis engineer Kevin Rumley are teaming back up for Nov. 2-3's National 100 at East Alabama as well as Nov. 6-9's World Finals at the Dirt Track at Charlotte together, a pairing that reeled off 68 feature victories from 2014-16, the Blairsville, Ga., driver announced Monday evening.

The 40-year-old Davenport will be aboard Rumley's familiar No. 6 machine for a total of five race nights across two events in the coming weeks. Davenport, who rounded out his third-place finish in the Lucas Oil standings Saturday at Ohio's Eldora Speedway made sure to emphasize "I plan on being the driver of the Double L Motorsports No. 49 for as long as Lance Landers and his family will have me."

"I have to thank all of my guys for a tremendous 2024 season and I’m thankful that Lance and Darla (Landers) have allowed me to go have some fun with the Rumleys for a few weekends," Davenport said in his news release. "I will be back in the No. 49 to close out our season in December at the Dome for the Gateway Dirt Nationals."

The National 100 pays $10,000- and $30,000-to-win on Nov. 2-3, respectively, while the World Finals pays $15,000-to-win both Nov. 7-8 before Nov. 9's $25,000-to-win finale.

Davenport is a three-time winner of the National 100 at EAMS  — 2009, 2011 and 2014 — but has not entered the event since 2017. At the World Finals, Davenport has six victories at the Dirt Track at Charlotte with his last victory being the $25,000 finale in 2022.

Davenport would be the fourth driver in Rumley's race cars this year, joining Wild West Shootout finale winner Kyle Larson, Hudson O'Neal and Ricky Thornton Jr., who won July 24’s Castrol FloRacing Night in America event at Fairbury (Ill.) Speedway with Rumley.

“This sport is so competitive and every hundredth of a second matters,” Davenport added in the news release. “For me to be able to go test some things with Kevin Rumley at East Alabama and Charlotte is invaluable and will hopefully give us a leg up heading into 2025. Thanks to Kevin and Jacqueline (Rumley) for the opportunity.  It will be a lot of fun racing with them again and will definitely feel like old times.
