James McFadden is heading home. The fan favorite Sprint Car driver from Australia announced Sunday night that he will not be racing full-time in the United States in 2025.

McFadden made the announcement during the Kubota High Limit Racing Championship Awards Banquet, a night in which he celebrated a fourth-place finish in the championship standings.

"It's not 100-percent public knowledge, but I'm not coming back full-time next year," McFadden said. "I'm going to be going home. We've got way more important things to do in life. I've had an unbelievable time."

McFadden has spent the last three season driving the No. 83 for Roth Motorsports. In 2022 and 2023, he competed full-time with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series and collected seven wins before transitioning to High Limit Racing for the inaugural national tour in 2024.

McFadden recorded three victories, 17 top fives and 33 top 10s during the 2024 season, a year that he called "the funnest year he's had on the road."

"Man, three years at Roth Motorsports. Who would've thought? I'm pretty happy with that."

"It's not the end for sure," McFaddden stated. "I'm going to come here and probably send Brad (Sweet) a couple times to make sure it's good," McFadden joked. "Like I said, I think High Limit has been the best part of my career so far. The vision and the things that are going on in Australia, I hope I'm a big part of that in the future."

Of course, McFadden was referring to the inaugural High Limit Racing International event scheduled for December 28-30 at Perth Motorplex in his home country of Australia. He plans to compete in the event against High Limit Racing stars including Brad Sweet and Kyle Larson.

McFadden's plans beyond that race are unknown; however, it's clear that his main priority will be his family, including his son Maverick. It's the same thing that made McFadden feel right at home while traveling the country with High Limit Racing this season.

"There's nothing better than seeing everyone fist pump Maverick and just give him the time of day. It's been everything."
