The Commonwealth Clash at Lernerville Speedway capped off its two-day weekend with its $50,000-to-win program Saturday on the Kubota High Limit Racing tour.

Tyler Courtney held off a fierce challenge from Lernerville regular Sye Lynch to claim his sixth High Limit victory of the 2024 season. Courtney led a race-high 21 of 40 laps and beat Lynch to the checkers by 2.772 seconds.

Corey Day was in position for his second win in as many nights, leading through 17 laps, but a broken right-rear wheel sent him tumbling off turn two and down into the track's runoff area.

The 18-year-old Day walked away OK and wasn't the only leader who encountered misfortune as Brent Marks led laps 17-19 until a flat right-rear tire knocked him out of the lead on lap 20. Eleventh-starting James McFadden rounded out the podium in third while fourth-finishing Tanner Thorson was the biggest mover from the 17th-starting spot.
