Kyle Larson will return to the Land Down Under with a new team when High Limit Racing Sprint Car heads to Australia for the first time.

The 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion and three-time and reigning Knoxville Nationals winner will join Jason Pryde Motorsport for the three-day High Limit International: Perth at Perth Motorplex on December 28-30.

While Larson has raced in Australia and New Zealand in the past, he has never appeared at Perth or anywhere on the Western side of the country for that matter. He leaned on brother-in-law and fellow High Limit Racing co-owner Brad Sweet, and ultimately landed with Jason Pryde Motorsport.

"I was really reliant on Brad Sweet, he had spent a few weeks down there this past season racing in Perth,” Larson said in a press release.  “So I relied on him to find who would be the best available car owner for me to get lined up with. Everyone has said all sorts of good things about him as well as his equipment, so I'm really excited to get there and meet Jason and his team and get to race his awesome stuff and hopefully have a fun, successful week of racing there in Perth.

"I'm really excited to that side of Australia, I've never been to that side of the country. It will be a good time."

Jason Pryde Motorsport is a Western Australia-based team who competes in Sprint Car racing and Australian Trans-Am.

"We are thrilled to have Kyle join the JPM squad for three nights this summer," Pryde said.  “He is one of the biggest names in global motorsport and for him to choose us to run his Australian program is a testament to JPM as a team. We know we are a competitive team but we're also excited about what we can learn from a driver with so much experience in not just Sprint Cars but NASCAR and IndyCar as well."

High Limit International: Perth was announced in July as High Limit’s first foray outside of North America. The three-day show will take place from December 28-30 and will feature an Australian Sprint Car record $100,000 payday to the winner of the finale.
