Jonathan Davenport beat Ricky Thornton Jr. in the final feature race of the night on Day 2 of Lucas Oil North/South 100 preliminary racing at Florence Speedway on Aug. 9. 

It was the second feature win in a row for Davenport, who closed out Aug. 8 with a win in the Group A Feature. Meanwhile, Thornton won the Group B Feature on Thursday.

The two late model star drivers went head-to-head on Friday. Davenport pulled off the win and will be one of the favorites in Saturday's North-South 100. 

Bobby Pierce meanwhile won the Group A Feature on Friday. Pierce finished second in one of the preliminary races on Thursday to Thornton.
