Billy Moyer had a scary opening-lap crash in the Gopher 50 consolation race, flipping violently number times down the backstretch at Deer Creek Speedway
Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer Billy Moyer was involved in a vicious crash Saturday night during the Gopher 50 for the World of Outlaws Late Model Series at Deer Creek Speedway.
On the opening lap of the consolation race, Moyer flipped violently numerous times down the backstretch after tangling with Chad Mahder, Lance Hofer and Cody Overton. Moyer's No. 21 Todd Cooney-owned Longhorn Chassis landed on its side in turn three before eventually flipping back onto its wheels.
Moyer exited the car under his own power, albeit gingerly, and appeared to be favoring his left side as he was assisted to the ambulance by the medical team.
Moyer's crash was captured by the DIRTVision cameras on the live broadcast and later posted on social media.
