Clash At The Creek Gives IMCA Modified Drivers Two Shots At Big Money
IMCA Modified drivers will battle for $10,000 checks on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 11-12 during the Clash at the Creek XVI at 141 Speedway.
One of the biggest IMCA Modified events in the state of Wisconsin is set for Tuesday and Wednesday, June 11-12 with the Clash At The Creek XVI at 141 Speedway. Two nights of racing are on tap featuring the IMCA Modifieds alongside the IMCA Sport Mods and IMCA Stock Cars.
New for 2024, the event will pay $10,000 to the winner of the Modified feature on both nights of Clash At The Creek XVI. That could lead to a massive $20,000 payday if a driver sweeps both nights. Additionally, Sport Mods and Stock Cars will race for $1,000 to win in both nights.
The Clash At The Creek was first contested in 2009 when the track was still pavement. Eric Arneson won the inaugural race. 141 Speedway then converted to dirt before the 2010 season and the Clash At The Creek has been a dirt race ever since.
Current Dirt Late Model superstar Ricky Thornton Jr. is the winningest driver in Clash At The Creek history, winning the race three consecutive years from 2018-2020. Defending race winner Johnny Whitman is a two-time winner of the race, as is Mike Mullen and Benji LaCrosse. Red Snellenberger, Brian Mullen, Tim Lemirande, Kyle Strickler and Jared Seifert are also former Clash At The Creek winners.
An open practice session was held on Monday, June 10 before two nights of racing on June 11-12. Racing begins at 6:30 p.m. CT both nights from 141 Speedway.
