The 18th running of the Rio Grande Waste Systems Wild West Shootout presented by O’Reilly Auto Parts at New Mexico's Vado Speedway Park kicked off with opening night of the six-race miniseries on Saturday.

Cade Dillard held off the hard-charging and pole-starting Bobby Pierce by 0.289 seconds to lead all 40 laps for the $11,000 winner's share.

It's Dillard's second career Wild West Shootout victory. Kyle Larson started 14th and finished fifth. Ten cars finished on the lead lap of the nonstop, caution-free feature. Nineteen cars were running at the feature finish.
