Chris Windom And Vermeer Motorsports Commit To High Limit Racing In 2024
On Monday morning, the new pairing of driver Chris Windom, owner Tony Vermeer, and sponsor NOS Energy Drink announced they’ll join High Limit Racing in 2024
The PRI Show may be over, but the constant news regarding High Limit Racing’s 2024 season continues to flow in. On Monday morning, the new pairing of driver Chris Windom, owner Tony Vermeer, and sponsor NOS Energy Drink announced they’ll join the series full-time in 2024 on FloRacing.
Windom and the Vermeer Motorsports #55 are the 11th team to sign for the High Limit Racing championship chase in 2024. They join the previously announced ten teams including Rico Abreu (Abreu #24), Jacob Allen (Shark Racing #1A), Spencer Bayston (CJB Motorsports #5), Brenham Crouch (Crouch #1), Corey Day (Jason Meyers Racing #14), Cory Eliason (Ridge & Sons Racing #8), Kasey Kahne (Kahne #9), Justin Peck (Buch Motorsports #13), Brad Sweet (Kasey Kahne Racing #49), and Zeb Wise (Rudeen Racing #26).
A 32-year-old native of Canton, Illinois, Windom’s accomplishments behind the wheel are already plenty impressive. One of seven drivers in the long and storied history of the United States Auto Club to achieve the Triple Crown, Windom won the 2016 USAC Silver Crown title, 2017 USAC Sprint Car title, and 2020 USAC Midget title.
High Limit Racing Reveals 2024 Schedule With 60 Races In 19 States
Transitioning his career to full-time winged racing in 2022, Windom quickly displayed his progress and wound up second in the All Star Circuit of Champions driver points in 2023 - only behind champion Zeb Wise. He competed in two High Limit A-Mains this year and finished top-10 in both races, his best being a sixth at Wayne County.
Returning to many familiar venues, Windom has previously won at eight of the 38 tracks scheduled for High Limit Racing’s 60-race season in 2024. Among those are Eldora Speedway, Florence Speedway, Grandview Speedway, Kokomo Speedway, Lucas Oil Speedway, Port Royal Speedway, and Tri-City Speedway.
Chris’ High Limit Racing campaign officially begins on Monday & Tuesday, February 12-13 at East Bay Raceway Park in Tampa, FL, and concludes on Friday & Saturday, October 11-12 at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, TX. Along with a trio of six-figure paydays and 25+ races paying $20,000 or more to win, teams will also compete for a $1 million championship fund and an additional $100,000 points fund for the Midweek Money Series.
The busy week continues for High Limit Racing with plenty of more news to come on the cast of 2024 High Rollers. Stay tuned to FloRacing.com to keep up with the incoming announcements.
