Corey Day To Compete For High Limit Mid-Week Series With Driven2SaveLives
Corey Day and Driven2SaveLives along with Indiana Donor Network and Clauson Marshall Racing together will tackle the High Limit Mid-Week Series.
Clauson Marshall Racing, Driven2SaveLives, an Indiana Donor Network Program, and Corey Day will be competing for the 2024 High Limit Mid-Week Series Championship and select events that will be announced at a later date in the Driven2SaveLives #14BC sprint car. Clauson Marshall Racing (CMR), co-owned by Tim Clauson and Richard Marshall, was established in 2016 to compete in the USAC National Midget series. Since their inception into racing in 2016, CMR has won a USAC National Midget Championship, a USAC National Sprint Car Championship and two All Star Circuit of Champions Championships.
Having Corey Day represent Clauson Marshall Racing and Driven2SaveLives on a national stage was an easy decision," Tim Clauson Said. "We were lucky to get to work with Corey in 2021 during Indiana Midget Week when he became the youngest driver to ever win a USAC National Event in series history while driving a CMR car. That week we talked a lot about his future and goals, and he made it very clear Winged 410 Sprint car racing was where he wanted to be. We are excited to be a part of that journey."
"In 2023, we experienced the High Limit Series from both the team side and with Driven2SaveLives on the event partnership side," Richard Marshall Said. "The experience was first class, which made the decision easy on where we wanted to race. Corey is undoubtedly one of the next stars that will carry our sport into its next era. As a Sprint Car fan, he is unbelievably exciting to watch. For a Team Owner and sponsor, he is the well-rounded balance of a fierce competitor, and well-spoken ambassador for our brand and our sport. I am proud and excited to go racing with Corey in 2024!”
Eighteen-year-old Corey Day had an explosive 2023 season, which included locking into the Knoxville Nationals A-Main event, winning the 69th Annual Gold Cup Race of Champions and winning the 29th Annual Trophy Cup. Day ended 2023 as the Northern Auto Racing Club Champion.
“I am extremely excited to have Clauson Marshall Racing back a part of my racing career," Corey Day Said. "I can’t wait to represent Driven2SaveLives and Indiana Donor Network for the 2024 season. I know we will do great things together on the track and continue conversations within the racing community about organ and tissue donation and ultimately save more lives.”
Corey Day will pilot this machine for CMR and Driven 2 Save Lives in 2024.
Indiana Donor Network has partnered with Clauson Marshall Racing since 2017, and Driven2SaveLives has been a key part of the Clauson Marshall Racing program since then. Indiana Donor Network President and CEO Kellie Tremain stated, “We are excited to continue our partnership with Clauson Marshall Racing and introduce Corey Day as a Driven2SaveLives Ambassador. The Driven2SaveLives program has grown into one of the most recognizable brands in short track racing. Our partnership with Clauson Marshall Racing and Corey Day is a big part of our commitment to getting more people to say ‘yes’ to donation, honoring donor heroes, supporting transplant recipients and finding a lifesaving gift for more than 100,000 Americans waiting for a transplant.”
