The biggest stars in Dirt Late Model racing will be chasing one of the richest prizes of the year Saturday at Eldora Speedway. A field of 62 drivers have entered the $100,000-to-win Dirt Track World Championship for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series. 

Of course, much of the focus on Saturday will be on the "Big River Steel Big Four" drivers who are eligible to win the 2023 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series championship. Ricky Thornton, Jr., Hudson O'Neal, Jonathan Davenport and Devin Moran all enter the event with an equal opportunity to win the title. Out of those four drivers, the driver with the best finish in the DTWC main event will be crowned the series champion. 

The series champion will win an additional $200,000, while the runner-up will claim $150,000. Third-place will receive $125,000 and the fourth-place finisher in the championship battle will walk away with $100,000. 

In addition to the "Big Four," a stout field of drivers will be chasing the $100,000 race victory. Current World of Outlaws Late Model Series points leader Bobby Pierce, two-time defending Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series champion Tim McCreadie, three-time Dirt Late Model Dream winner Brandon Overton and National Dirt Late Model Hall of Famer Scott Bloomquist are among the drivers entered.

Following rain showers on Friday, qualifying for the Dirt Track World Championship will begin at 1 p.m. ET. Drivers will compete in hot laps, qualifying and heat races as part of Friday's rescheduled program. 

After a reset at the race track, the evening session will begin at approximately 6 p.m. ET. Hot laps, consolation races and a non-qualifiers race will be held prior to the 100-lap Dirt Track World Championship main event.
