Anthony Macri Returning To Macri Motorsports No. 39M This Weekend
Anthony Macri is planning to reunite with his family-owned Macri Motorsports No. 39M team this weekend.
Anthony Macri is planning a return to his family’s Macri Motorsports No. 39M operation as soon as Friday at Port Royal Speedway, Jeremy Elliott of sprintcarunlimited.com first reported on Monday.
The 24-year-old of Dillsburg, Pa., departed the very ride he accrued 24 wins in a year ago — the nation’s most in 2022 — on the morning of July 12’s Eldora Million opener at Ohio’s Eldora Speedway. Since then, he’s mostly raced Bernie Stuebgen’s No. 71 Indy Race Parts machine and served as a replacement for the once-injured Tyler Courtney in the Clauson Marshall Racing No. 7BC.

Macri hasn’t recorded a win since stepping away from his family team, his last triumph coming July 4 in the Pennsylvania Speedweek finale at Port Royal Speedway that capped off his first PA Speedweek title in convincing fashion.
On the whole, Macri has eight wins this season, with one of those on the High Limit Sprint Car Series on April 25 at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa.
Macri’s tentative return to the No. 39M in Friday's $6,000-to-win event at Port Royal Speedway that accompanies the Short Track Super Series can be streamed live on FloRacing.
Correction: Macri is not scheduled to race Tuesday's High Limit Sprint Car Series finale at Lincoln Park as initially stated.
