Rico Abreu Back In A USAC Midget Car At Eldora Speedway
Rico Abreu will return to the USAC National Midget Series and go for his third 4-Crown Nationals victory at Eldora Speedway.
Rico Abreu will return to the wheel of a USAC National Midget this weekend at Eldora Speedway as part of the traditional 4-Crown Nationals. Abreu will drive for long-time friend Tanner Thorson in the No. 24 car, marking the second time the pairing has gotten together this season.

A 2014 National Champion in the series, Abreu has two USAC Midget victories in the 4-Crown Nationals at Eldora in 2013 and 2016. Abreu has 16 USAC National Midget wins in his career. He’s also a two-time Chili Bowl Nationals winner.
Overall, Abreu has eight career victories at Eldora Speedway including a Winged Sprint win during the 2021 4-Crown Nationals.
Abreu is currently second in High Limit Sprint Car Series points and has had a career year behind the wheel of a 410 Sprint Car. He is expected to pull double-duty this weekend racing his Sprint Car in the World of Outlaws Sprint Car race on Friday and the Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions race on Saturday.
