World 100 Special Paint Schemes Heading To Eldora Speedway

The World 100 at Eldora Speedway is the biggest and most prestigious dirt Late Model race in the world. Every team, and every driver gives their all on and off the race track in an effort to get their name put on the long list of greats who have won it.

One of the World 100 traditions has been teams rolling out special paint schemes, or vinyl wraps now, for this one race.

With that in mind, we wanted to have one central place for some of those recently announced special paint schemes to live so that you don’t have to go scouring the depths of the internet to find them before everyone arrives in Rossburg, Ohio.

Superman Is Back In Black

Jonathan Davenport is going after his sixth World 100 this weekend at Eldora Speedway in a sleek black, white, and green paint scheme that is more black than anything else. It looks fast sitting still, and we all know how fast Davenport usually is at Eldora. As Davenport said himself, "enough said."

B-Shepp Has Buck Fever

The recently announced new Longhorn Chassis house car driver will be teaming up with Kevin Rumley and Longhorn to bring a black, orange, and camouflage B5 to Eldora Speedway nicknamed “Buck Fever.”

Devin Moran Brings Awareness To Dementia

Devin Moran will look to break the Million Dollar Curse for his family at Eldora Speedway this weekend while racing a car for a good cause. The Ohio native will pilot a white and blue No. 99 that is meant to raise awareness for dementia, a truly awful disease that affects so many people and families.

Daulton Wilson Throws It Back To 2006

We might hear Earl Pearson Jr.’s name said more than Daulton Wilson’s name when Wilson hits the track at Eldora this weekend, and Wilson probably won’t mind it one bit. Wilson is bringing a beautiful throwback scheme to Eldora that pays tribute to Dunn-Benson Motorsports and the late Carlton Lamm, and their team’s biggest win, the 2006 World 100 triumph with Pearson Jr. behind the wheel.

Mike Marlar’s Fighter Is All “Dolled Up”

Tennessee’s Mike Marlar is headed to Ohio with a car inspired by a legendary P-51 Mustang, a fighter plane that flew in World War II, called “Big Beautiful Doll.” Marlar’s fighter for the World 100 has been nicknamed “Dolled Up,” and as Marlar said in the Facebook post, it’s ready to take flight at Eldora this weekend.

Ricky Thornton Jr. Pays Tribute To A Legend

RTJ’s No. 20RT is a special blue and white scheme that Thornton said is “loosely” based off a Jimmie Johnson paint scheme during Johnson’s legendary days in NASCAR. Thornton will also be sporting a very sharp white firesuit while he gets down and dirty at the Big E.

Hunt The Front Back In Purple

Joseph Joiner and his Hunt the Front family will be sporting a lot of purple at the World 100 this weekend. Purple was a “predominant color on our race cars” in the beginning of their racing days, so they wanted to bring it back for the biggest race of the year.

The Mystery Machine Returns

When it comes to beating Jonathan Davenport at Eldora Speedway, the process is a bit of a mystery. At least, so says Bobby Pierce. Pierce is bringing back a Scooby-Doo inspired scheme with Scooby-Doo and his feisty nephew, Scrappy-Doo adorning the sides. Pierce’s No. 32 decal this week says “scrappy operator” instead of “smooth operator” as well.

Smokey Races In Memory Of His Papa

Chris Madden will be running a sentimental throwback scheme in memory and honor of his "papa," his grandfather, Stan Segars. Madden won't be in his traditional No. 44 machine, but instead he'll be sporting the number 87 this week at Eldora.

Overton Pays Tribute To A Hometown Legend

Brandon Overton hails from Evans, Georgia, and so does "The Gambler" Ed Basey, one of dirt Late Model racing's legends of the Southeast. Basey made a blue and white No. 4 machine famous at dirt tracks all across North and South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida. This week at the World 100, Overton won't be in his familiar black No. 76, but instead he'll be running Basey's blue and white No. 4 as he goes for his second World 100 title.
