Longhorn Chassis Planning New House Car Driver In 2024
Longhorn Chassis has announced that Tim McCreadie will no longer be the driver of the manufacturer's Super Late Model house car in 2024.
Longhorn Chassis announced Wednesday that the China Grove, N.C.-based manufacturer will realign their Super Late Model house car program in 2024, ending a long run with national champion Tim McCreadie of Watertown, N.Y. and beginning an association with a driver to be named.
The news will close a chapter on Paylor Motorsports and McCreadie’s successful tenure as the brand’s house car team and driver, though Longhorn will continue its vested support into McCreadie’s racing career along with future Paylor Motorsports endeavors.

McCreadie, 49, first joined Longhorn as house car driver in 2017 under a partnership between Longhorn and his then owners Carl and Ann Myers. The deal transitioned into a joint venture between Longhorn and Paylor Motorsports owners Donald and Gena Bradsher that began in 2020 when McCreadie joined the team. McCreadie claimed back-to-back Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series championships in 2021-22.

“Timmy has been an instrumental part of our success as a company through both past and present ownership,” Longhorn co-owner Steve Arpin said. “When you look at some of the best championship points racers of this era, he has always found a way to take care of his equipment and put himself in a position to be there at the end. We’re very much looking forward to continuing to support him on into the next chapter of his racing career.”
“We appreciate the support of Longhorn Chassis, Steve Arpin and (former owner) Justin Labonte,” Donald Bradsher added. “We all as a team have had great success and we look forward to our continued relationship with them. Gena and I are very excited about the future of Paylor Motorsports with Tim McCreadie and the entire 39 Team. We will continue to be a Longhorn Chassis driver-team, just in a different role.”
McCreadie sits fourth in Lucas Oil points heading into the final month of regular season competition, putting him in position to be among the Big River Steel Big Four that will battle for the $200,000 tour title in the Oct. 20-21 Dirt Track World Championship at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio.
Longhorn Chassis plans to announce its full 2024 Super Late Model house car plans in the coming weeks.
