The accident occurred after a lower radiator hose burst on Austin Dillon's car, leaving a trail of fluid behind him. With fluid on the track and nowhere to go, Deegan was the first to pile into Dillon, followed by Briscoe, Kanaan and Andretti.
Dillon, Briscoe and Kanaan saw their night's end following the crash, while Deegan and Andretti started the main event in back-up cars.
Following the incident, Dillon took motorsports journalist Matt Weaver under the hood to explain exactly what happened.
