James McFadden Dashes To Front Row Challenge Victory At Southern Iowa
James McFadden led every lap of Monday's Front Row Challenge at Southern Iowa Speedway to pocket $22,500.
James McFadden quite literally sprinted to victory on Monday at Southern Iowa Speedway.
The Australian couldn't have won the Sage Fruit Front Row Challenge and its $22,500 top prize without winning the event's unique foot race, where a trio of 40-yard dashes were contested on the half-mile's frontstretch to determine the top eight starting spots.

McFadden narrowly edged the night's eventual runner-up, Carson Macedo, in the foot race to earn the pole for the main event. That escalated into McFadden leading all 30 laps for the $21,000 winner's share. He also earned a $1,500 bonus for winning the foot race.
Corey Day started 10th and finished third, turning in his best career finish on a half-mile. Brent Marks and Blake Hahn rounded out the top five.
Kyle Larson, who earlier in the day finished fifth in the NASCAR Cup race at Michigan Int'l Speedway, started sixth but pulled off the racetrack two laps into the running with an apparent engine issue.
