High Limit Sprint Car Series Entry List For Grandview Speedway
A look at the entry list for Wednesday night's High Limit Sprint Car Series event at Grandview Speedway.
The High Limit Sprint Car Series makes its way to Pennsylvania Posse country on Wednesday night in the tour’s sixth-round event at Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, Pa.
Editor's Note: Tuesday's race has been postponed to Wednesday due to rain.
Just like the opening five events, the roster for the 30-lap, $23,023-to-win event — the largest Sprint Car payout in the third-mile’s 60-year history — features some of the biggest and most talented names in dirt racing.
The pre-entry list that nears 30 competitors is headlined by High Limit Series leader Kyle Larson, who looks to return to more happy times on the racetrack after his run-in with Denny Hamlin on Sunday in the NASCAR Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway. Larson enters Grandview with three straight High Limit wins at Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Ill.; Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio; and Eagle (Neb.) Raceway.

Anthony Macri was supposed to make his season debut in Bernie Stuebgen’s No. 71 Indy Race Parts machine, but the Dillsburg, Pa., driver can't race Wednesday because of commitments with Clauson Marshall Racing at Benton (Mo.) Speedway. Macri, who was 49 points behind Larson in the High Limit standings, is currently subbing for the injured Tyler Courtney on the All Star Circuit of Champions tour.
Neptune, N.J.'s Kyle Reinhardt will now be at the wheel of Stuebgen's No. 71.
Macri Motorsports, meanwhile, has called on Lance Dewease to again fill the seat of the No. 39M. On Sunday, Dewease and Kreitz Racing parted ways, ending their seven-year partnership.
Rico Abreu (-49 points), Zeb Wise (-95), Cory Eliason (-98) are three additional drivers in the top 10 in series points that anchor Grandview’s list of pre-entries. Former NASCAR Cup Series star Kasey Kahne is expected to make his fourth High Limit start of the year, too.
Brent Marks of Myerstown, Pa., leads the PA Posse contingent, which is also expected to showcase former All Star Circuit of Champions winners Freddie Rahmer and Ryan Smith. Rahmer of Salfordville, Pa., won the 2017 ASCoC event at Grandview.

Thirteenth in series points, Justin Peck looks to make some ground up in the standings in his No. 13 Buch Motorsports entry. Up-and-coming talent Chase Randall and Ryan Timms make their first trips to Grandview, while USAC winner Jake Swanson returns to the seat of Alex Bowman’s No. 55 Sprint Car.
Also repping the PA Posse is Devon Borden, who’s fresh off a victory Sunday at Selinsgrove (Pa.) Speedway, plus Austin Bishop, Kyle Reinhardt, Ryan Taylor, Tim Buckwalter, T.J. Stutts, and Tyler Ross.
