The Mid-West Drag Racing Series Thunder in the Valley race will take over Oklahoma’s premier drag strip, Thunder Valley Raceway Park, located just south of Oklahoma City in Lexington, Oklahoma, on June 2-3, 2023. With more than $27,000 ready and waiting to be paid out to winners across nine classes, spectators will get to see some of the quickest and fastest passes in the track’s recent history right as they happen.

Headlining the show is the thrilling big tire Pro Modified category featuring wild 3,000+ horsepower doorslammer monsters fighting it out for the $10,000-to-win purse with a 16-car field. Additionally, fan-favorite Funny Cars are on the bill every driver will be going all out in hopes of scoring the $7,500 pay day. Additional categories, such as Top Sportsman and Top Dragster, are paying $3,000 to the last man or woman standing, while Super Pro, Footbrake, Sportsman Footbrake, and two Jr. Dragster classes let everyone get in on the action and have a chance at earning a piece of the prize.

Racing begins at 5:00 PM on Friday and resumes again on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Great conditions are expected and, coupled with an iconic location in the heart of America’s drag racing country, the race is shaping up to be one of the biggest of the MWDRS season.
