Nearly 50 Cars Entered For High Limit Sprint Car Series At Kokomo Speedway
Another star-studded field is expected for the High Limit Sprint Car Series race at Kokomo Speedway on Wednesday, May 3.
A handful of new faces will join the impressive list of High Limit Sprint Car Series full-time drivers for the third race of the season at Kokomo Speedway on Wednesday, May 3. The expected entry list for the event, which was released by High Limit Racing officials Monday night, includes the names of 49 sprint car drivers.
In addition to the "High Rollers" that you can expect to see at every High Limit Sprint Car Series event, the field for Wednesday's race includes non-wing sprint car stars and winged sprint car drivers who will be making their first starts of the season with High Limit.
Justin Grant, the defending USAC Sprint Car national champion, will be making his first start of the year with High Limit. Grant, who only makes a handful of winged sprint car starts each year, competed in last year's inaugural High Limit Open event at Lincoln Park Speedway.
Grant's USAC Midget teammate Thomas Meseraull, a 19-time USAC national series winner, is also expected to compete in Wednesday's race. The always-polarizing driver known as "T-Mez" will be making his High Limit Sprint Car Series debut.
Emerson Axsom, a three-time USAC National Sprint Car winner, will be making his first High Limit start since last year's event at Lincoln Park.
Chris Windom, a member of USAC's triple crown club, is also slated to make his first High Limit start of the year aboard the Lane Racing No. 4 entry.
As NASCAR Cup Series driver Alex Bowman recovers from injuries sustained in a crash at 34 Raceway, California ace Jake Swanson will be making his winged sprint car debut behind the wheel of the Alex Bowman Racing No. 55 entry.

Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. will be competing in his second High Limit Sprint Car Series event of the season while looking to improve on his performance after failing to qualify for the A-Main at 34 Raceway.
James McFadden, a seven-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series winner, will make his High Limit Sprint Car Series debut at Kokomo. McFadden and the No. 83 Roth Motorsports team recently received a four-race suspension from the World of Outlaws after failing a tire test.
NASCAR star Kyle Larson and two-time defending Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions champion Tyler Courtney enter the third race of the season tied atop the High Limit championship standings. Anthony Macri, the series' most recent winner at 34 Raceway, sits just one point back from the lead duo.
