Legends Of Racing: The Bettenhausens Recognized At Indy Film Fest
Legends Of Racing: The Bettenhausens was recently recognized and featured during the 2023 Indy Film Fest.
Legends Of Racing: The Bettenhausens, a film produced by FloSports Studios, was recognized Saturday, April 22 during the Indy Film Fest in Indianapolis, Indiana. The film that features Indianapolis' most famous racing family and their lifelong chase to win the Indianapolis 500 tells the story of generational heartbreak and determination, passion for racing and the will to succeed.
Legends Of Racing: The Bettenhausens Trailer #1
Featured in the film is Merle Bettenhausen, a former race car driver who retired while second in USAC Midget points after a hard crash left his brother Gary hospitalized. The brothers lost their father Tony Bettenhausen to a practice crash at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as young boys.
Merle co-produces the film along with Gary’s sons Cary and Todd Bettenhausen. The film was edited and directed by Laura Andrew of FloSports and produced by Tyler Burnett, Tim Truex, Matthew Dillner and Paul Gandersman of FloSports. The United States Auto Club contributed to the film tremendously, with their director of PR Richie Murray contributing a massive amount of footage.

The ‘Indy Film Festival’ hosted it’s 20th Anniversary event April 19-23 at Kan-Kan Cinema in Indy, the ‘The Bettenhausens’ played April 22 in theaters to a wonderful crowd and an appearance by the Bettenhausen family.
