Craig Mintz Takes All Star Circuit Of Champions Photo Finish At Attica
Craig Mintz edged Zeb Wise in a photo finish at Attica Raceway Park to secure is his first win in eleven years with the Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions.
The Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions kicked off the 2023 championship season with a potential race of the year candidate Friday night at Attica Raceway Park.
Craig Mintz snapped an 11-year All Stars win drought with a last-lap pass on Zeb Wise. Hunter Schuerenberg led the field for the majority of a race until a lap 25 caution set up a 10-lap dash to the checkers.
When the green dropped, Zeb Wise quickly made the move to the outside and to the lead. With a few laps remaining Mintz entered the picture, as the two traded slide jobs for the final two laps, with Mintz edging Wise at the line by .074 seconds.

“I kind of showed my hand early. I tell you what, racing with Zeb (Wise) is fun. This means a lot. This is a 2016 GF1. George Fisher should be proud of that. We had been struggling with bleeders all night and on the long run we weren't very good. I knew I had a good car on the short run. That last little bit both of us were going for the win."
