Sprint Car Stars Heading To Bridgeport Speedway For Invasion Of The Posse
Sprint Car stars from Pennsylvania and beyond will compete in Sunday's Invasion of the Posse at Bridgeport Speedway.
Bridgeport Motorsports Park will be invaded by the Pennsylvania Posse and other stars from the Sprint Car world on Sunday afternoon during the track's Invasion of the Posse event.
Typically known as a Modified track, the New Jersey dirt track plays host to a handful of major Sprint Car events each year, including the Invasion of the Posse during the early part of the season.
The list of expected entries for the 30-lap, $7,500-to-win main event includes some of the best drivers from Pennsylvania and beyond.
Highlighting the list of expected entries is defending race winner Anthony Macri, who claimed the win last year when race dominator Brent Marks lost power on the final lap. Macri will be joined by other PA Posse stars including Danny Dietrich and Freddie Rahmer, Jr.
Lucas Wolfe, a winner on Saturday afternoon at Port Royal Speedway, will travel to Bridgeport with hopes of making it a perfect weekend.
Justin Peck, who collected a Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions win at Bridgeport last year, returns to the track following a third-place finish in last year's Invasion of the Posse.
New Jersey native Kyle Reinhardt, a winner with the Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions, will be looking to do one spot better after a runner-up finish last April.
Other drivers expected to compete in Sunday's race include Devon Borden, Dylan Norris and Justin Whittall. A full list of drivers who have been announced on the Bridgeport Speedway Facebook page can be viewed below.
