Michael Maresca started from the front row and withstood all challenges to win Saturday's Short Track Super Series Icebreaker 40 at Selinsgrove Speedway. The $5,000 victory was the second Short Track Super Series win of Maresca's career. 

Maresca, a native of Potsdam, New York, survived a handful of early cautions and pulled away from the field late to win by 2.1 seconds over runner-up finisher Billy Pauch, Jr. 

While many of the competitors in Saturday's race shook the rust off with a trip to Florida in February, the Icebreaker 40 at Selinsgrove was the first race of the season for Maresca.
