Prior to the 38th Annual Lucas Oil Tulsa Shootout, very few people in the motorsports world knew the name Brayton Roberts. The mature 11-year old from Lake Havasu City, Arizona quickly became one of the most talked about stories of the event after FloRacing shared his unique story on Thursday.

As his story spread, Roberts received four nose wings for his car, a $1,000 Hyper Racing gift card from car owner Keith Kunz and a call from famous radio personality "Bubba The Love Sponge."

Flagman Released From Hospital After Being Struck By Race Car
There's nowhere flagman Terry Mattox would rather be the final week of December than the SageNet Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. However, for a few hours on Thursday he was forced to leave the building to obtain medical attention after being struck by a race car.
In true form, Mattox returned to the building later that afternoon after being stitched up at a local hospital. FloRacing's Tyler Burnett caught up with Mattox to discuss his recovery.

Bob The Racing Barber Leads First Ever Laps
Bob Wofford, Jr. had never led a lap in his racing career until this past weekend's Tulsa Shootout. The Oklahoma native who clips hair off customer's heads as his full-time occupation, nearly won his heat race and led seven of the eight laps. Bob "The Racing Barber" spoke to FloRacing's Tyler Burnett about his excitement after the race.

Huge Brawl On Opening Night
It didn't take long for emotions to run high at the 38th Annual Lucas Oil Tulsa Shootout. An on-track incident between Blake Scott and Nicholas Howard in the 17th race of the event led to a brawl in the pit area.
As a result of the fight, Blake Scott was disqualified and thrown out for the remainder of the event. The ejection was based on a well-known policy that strictly prohibits fighting in the pit area at both the Tulsa Shootout and Chili Bowl Nationals.

Gavan Boschele Delivers Swindell A Golden Driller Win
The name Swindell is synonymous with success inside the SageNet Center in Tulsa. On Saturday night, the family made more history when Gavan Boschele delivered a Stock Non-Wing victory to Swindell Speedlab and team owner Kevin Swindell.
Boschele led the majority of the 30-lap feature but lost the lead to Jace Park in lapped traffic. However, a restart with three laps to go gave him the 14-year-old driver an opportunity to take he lead back and claim the biggest win of his career.
