Three headline divisions now set for Sunday at the Speed Palace
PORT ROYAL, PA – Sunday Funday!
After a cancelation of the Saturday program due to rain, the 410 Sprint Cars have been added to Sunday’s ‘Spring Speed Showcase’ at Port Royal Speedway, joining the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco Modifieds and Zimmer’s Service Center ULMS Super Late Models.
Three headline divisions are now set for the ‘Speed Palace’ on the Juniata County Fairgrounds this Sunday, March 20 with no increase in grandstand admission!
With weather-related postponements of the Georgetown (Del.) Speedway event on March 12 and Selinsgrove (Pa.) Speedway on March 19, the STSS Modifieds now take part in the Hurlock Auto & Speed Supply South Region opener. A massive $15,000 awaits the STSS South Region champion in 2022.
STSS Modifieds take part in 10-lap heat races and consolations leading up to a $5,000-to-win, $500-to-start main event. Thanks to Big Spring Car Wash, a field of 30 STSS Modifieds will take the green from STSS head starter Joe Kriss in the main event.
Qualifying, heat races and B-Mains lead up to a 25-lap, $4,000-to-win main for the 410 Sprint Cars and a 30-lap, $3,500-to-win main for the ULMS Super Late Models.
Gates now open at noon. The drivers’ meeting is set for 1:30 p.m. Hot laps hit the track at 2:15 p.m. and racing begins at 3 p.m.
