“Everything is Bigger in Texas.” That was the quote from tour co-founder Jon Courchaine. Jon and wife, Jill, own and operate Sniper Speed Chassis in Gillett, Wisconsin and had been racing the winter’s in the Southern United States while the snow was piling up in the dairy and cheese land. It was on a road trip home that they knew there was an interest for an IMCA Stock Car tour, but where?

After spending time talking about this idea, the rumors started spreading that a tour was in the works for somewhere in the south. This had “I Stock”, as they call them in Texas, drivers starting to show an interest. “We had calls and messages from drivers asking to start this in Texas” Stated Jill. It was when sponsors and promoters showed a great interest that the tour started happening.

Two tours later, the 2021 Sniper Speed Lone Star IMCA Stock Car Tour looks to be the biggest yet. With a full schedule starting with the Ice Breaker February 19th at the Abilene Speedway in Abilene, Texas and ending February 27th at Southern Oklahoma Speedwayin Ardmore, Oklahoma. Each night will pay $1,000.00 to Win and $100.00 to start the 21-car field, with the Tour Champion pocketing $5,000.00.
