Daison Pursley Wins Third Straight at Eldora
For the third-straight USAC iRacing event, Daison Pursley collected the victory.
Daison Pursley is simply en fuego right now.
For the third-straight USAC iRacing event, the 15-year-old USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget Rookie for Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports collected the victory. This time he did it in a sprint car on Thursday night's fourth round of the USAC AMSOIL iRacing Challenge at Eldora Speedway.
In recent weeks, Pursley won the AME Electrical FALS Invitational midget iRace at Fairbury American Legion Speedway on April 11, then followed up with another iRacing midget triumph on April 16 at Williams Grove Speedway.
Pursley endured a green-white-checkered finish, escaping from the challenge of second and third-running Logan Seavey and Aiden Purdue in turn one. He took the high line to victory lane with a winning margin of 0.988 over Seavey, Purdue and Zeb Wise in fourth after playing the alphabet soup from the D-Main to the C, B and A-Mains. Carson Sousa rounded out the top-five.

“We ended up having a pretty good lead there, but I was still racing like they were right under my bumper,” Pursley said. “Unfortunately, that caution came out and we had to race a green-white-checkered. I was so nervous running right there with Seavey and them. I knew the slider was going to probably end up coming into turn one, but I just didn’t know how to approach it. Luckily, we were able to get the win there.”
Connor Leoffler earned the Hard Charger award, finishing 6th after starting 24th. Clinton Boyles was the Hard Work award winner and Wise was rewarded as the Passing Master of the night.
