On the same day Hudson O’Neal ran his first Midget race, he announced he would race in 10 Wingless Sprints in 2018.
The same day that 2017 Lucas Oil Late Model Series Rookie of the Year Hudson O’Neal raced in his first Chili Bowl preliminary in Tulsa, OK, he had big news to report in the open wheel dirt world.
Excited to announce my partnership with Cam Pottorff and Brady Short in their 410 non wing sprint car! I will run a partial schedule (10-15 races) around my @lucasdirt and dirt late model schedule! Excited to be apart of a great team and looking forward to getting underway!!!!

The young driver announced Thursday that along with running the full Lucas Oil Late Model season he will also have the opportunity to run 10 410 non-winged Sprint races. O’Neal is partnering up with owners Cam Pottorff and Brady Short.
In his first Midget run, O’Neal proved that he came to play, making it into the A-Main after advancing through the second B — advancing from fifth to third. O’Neal ran his preliminary Thursday night, starting 22nd and advancing to 19th in the feature ultimately won by Christopher Bell.
