Casey Roberts had a chance for a perfect debut with a new team, but Jackie Boggs would not be denied his third consecutive victory in the Schaeffer Oil Iron-Man Series on Saturday night in the Leftover race at 411 Motor Speedway in Seymour, TN.

Starting on the outside of the front row and rocketing to the lead at the green, Boggs won the race flag to flag despite his engine hitting 220 degrees. However, multiple cautions allowed him to cool the power plant and scoot away from the field.

Boggs was concerned about having a small radiator in his No. 4B and was forced to nurse the car on long runs. After stretching out to a comfortable lead following five cautions, he had to “kinda chill it out” and wait for the next assault.

The final 17 laps were run under green, with Boggs navigating flawlessly through traffic to win his second consecutive Leftover.

Roberts was unable to run Boggs down despite the mechanical issue, but his debut in the new Blount Motorsports No. 101 was a success considering his pole-winning run and second-place finish.

Johnny Cloer Jr. rounded out the podium and took the final step on the podium with his third-place finish.

The points championship went to 13-year-old Carder Miller after his 15th-place finish in the Leftover.
