Donny Schatz gets them back up to speed over the Madman and his slightly less mad brother Ian.
Under caution, Terry McCarl gets a flat.
One lap after the pass, Sheldon Haudenschild and David Gravel cut both rear tires. Must be some debris on the track.
Kerry Madsen makes a Mad Slider over Balog... but he pushes too high and Donny Schatz rockets past. Folks, this is some wild racing tonight.
Bill Blog leads early.
Tony Stewart starts on the outside of row 9
How often does this happen: battling for 10th in the points, Jason Sides and Brent Marks start side by side on row 14. Sides is making a final push for the top 10 in Outlaw points.
Late Models
Brandon Sheppard wins. 2) Dennis Erb, 3) Mike Marlar, 4) Jimmy Ownes, 5) Dale McDowell, 6) Brandon Overton, 7) Chris Maddenn, 8) Josh Richards, 9) Brian Shirley, and 10) Devin Moran
Wow - Just wow. Sheppard was buried in the field, but he comes from nowhere to tie Josh Richards's single season win record at 18!
Sheppard comes from 5th to the lead in a handful of laps. He takes the lead on 47.
Yup - Erb gets past Marlar on lap 42 at the line.
It appears Erb has taken better care of his tires and he is all over Marlar.
Jason Covert stalls on lap 27 - another caution.
Zack McMillon gets a flat and draws a caution on lap 17.
Marlar is pacing the field and doesn't seem to be be catchable.
Can Brandon Sheppard match Richards' win record? He bobbles on the opening lap and almost crashes.
Mike Marlar and Dennis Erb Jr. will lead the field to green. Jimmy Owens, Josh Richards, and Dale McDowell round out the top five.
Big Block Modifieds A-Main
Williamson hold off Sheppard for the first upset of the weekend. Billy Decker, Keith Flach, and Mike Mahaney round out the top five.
Mat Williamson takes an early lead over Matt Sheppard. If Williamson wins, it's a Cinderella story, but Sheppard wants his third win in this race. 10 to go.
A couple of cautions early slow the pace - for Walters and Tompkins.
29 cars enter, one leaves with the win.
