This Week In Sprints: Lance Dewease And Morgan Turpen Double Down
Lance Dewease won back to back in the ASCoC, while Morgan Turpen swept the weekend in United Sprint Car Series.
Rain continued to make adjustments to the World of Outlaws schedule. It pushed the Bull Ring Outlaw Blitz to Wednesday, May 3, but there was still plenty of racing.
The Outlaws got into action for one of two planned nights. David Gravel closed the points gap to 36 on Donny Schatz with his fifth win of the season at Plymouth Speedway in Plymouth, IN. Schatz stopped a two-race slide of results outside the top 10 in that race.
The All Star Circuit of Champions spent three nights in Pennsylvania with Lance Dewease scoring back-to-back wins at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsville and Port Royal Speedway. The most inspiring outing of the weekend was Trey Stark's first win at Bedford Speedway. Plenty of attention was directed at Tony Stewart, who finished 10th and 18th in the first two nights before heading to Richmond, VA, for the NASCAR Cup race.
Morgan Turpen also captured a pair of wins in the United Sprint Car Series. It was the second time in the past two weekends that she swept Victory Lane.
