Kubota High Limit Racing visited Lakeside Speedway on Friday for the Hasty Bake Kansas City Clash, featuring a $20,000 winner's share just seven miles down the road from NASCAR weekend at Kansas Speedway.
In a wild main event that saw early leader Kerry Madsen and Brad Sweet and Kyle Larson crash out of the race up front, Rico Abreu prevailed over Tyler Courtney for his second High Limit win of the season.
Abreu led the final 20 of 30 laps while Madsen led laps 7-10 before crashing out of the main event in the battle for the lead with Abreu. Austin McCarl led the opening six laps before retiring from the race on lap 10 with mechanical issues.
