After a month-long hiatus, the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series returned Friday at Delaware's Georgetown Speedway for a three-race weekend at a trio of marquee half-mile tracks in the Northeast with more than $55,000 up for grabs.

Sixth-starting Devin Moran edged Ricky Thornton Jr. in a photo finish to win the $20,049 third annual Melvin L. Joseph Sr. Memorial at Georgetown by 0.077 seconds. 

Moran commanded the final 22 of 49 laps for his series-leading fifth win in 12 races of 2025. Brandon Overton led the opening 21 laps before Daulton Wilson took the lead on the lap-22 restart and led through lap 27.

Eight cautions slowed the 43-minute feature: Lap seven for 10th-running Carson Ferguson, who slowed on the backstretch; lap 10 for Hudson O'Neal, who slowed on the racetrack; the lap-10 restart when sixth-running Tyler Erb went spinning off turn two after contact from Daulton Wilson; lap 21 when Spencer Hughes blew a right-rear tire and came to a halt in turn four; lap 23 when fifth-running Jonathan Davenport spun out of fifth; lap 26 when 16th-running Ross Robinson when he spun in turn four; lap 44 for Davenport; and lap 47 for Cory Lawler.

Lucas Oil action continues Saturday with its $25,000-to-win event at Hagerstown (Md.) Speedway and Sunday's $10,000-to-win program at Port Royal (Pa.) Speedway.
