2025 Indy 500 Open Test Results At Indianapolis Motor Speedway
A look at Thursday's Indy 500 open test results at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Open testing for the 109th running of next month's Indy 500 is officially in the books as 34 drivers took to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Wednesday and Thursday to fine-tune their race cars ahead of The Greatest Spectacle in Racing.
Last year's Indianapolis 500 polesitter Scott McLaughlin topped the speed charts at 232.686 mph during Thursday morning's run with elevated turbo boost levels, the same power that drivers will have in Fast Friday practice May 16 and May 17-18's qualifying.
Kyle Larson made headlines in the wrong way Thursday when he crashed his No. 17 Arrow McLaren Chevrolet in the second-hour of morning practice exiting turn one toward the corner's short chute.

Larson washed up the racetrack until he pancaked the outside wall, which broke the right-front suspension as the 32-year-old lost handling and hit the outside wall again at the end of the short chute entering turn two. He emerged OK and able to find silver lining within the mishap.
“It’s a bummer, but at the same point I’m happy to get it out of the way hopefully here early in the Indy 500 stuff," Larson told FOX Sports' Bob Pockrass. "We can try to work on our balance quite a bit now.”
Three-time NTT INDYCAR Series champion Alex Palou was fastest during the afternoon session in simulated race-trim without the turbo booster at 223.993 mph. See below for Thursday's overall open test results.
