Now that the first snowfall has officially occurred in many places, sled enthusiasts are revving up for another winter of hitting the trails. Of course, that can only mean one thing. The 2024 to 2025 AMSOIL Championship Snocross season is right around the corner, and it’s already shaping up to be epic.
Last season went down to the wire while giving fans action-packed excitement at every event. Fans, teams, and racers are building off the massive momentum from last year to deliver another great season. The racers are eager to start their engines thanks to the amazing fans, teams, and sponsors.
If there are any remaining question marks regarding the competitive classes, please check out this preview of what to watch within each class this year. Each class also has a sponsor, so take a moment to get to know them. We are all grateful for the sponsors who are helping make this season a huge success.
Here is a breakdown of the different Snocross classes and class sponsors for the upcoming season:
Sponsored by ROX Speed FX, the Stock 200 class remains very popular and competitive. ROX Speed FX is a leading performance snowmobile parts manufacturer that combines its expertise and passion for sled innovation through the lens of enthusiasts.
Throughout the 2023/2024 Snocross season, over 99 different drivers hit the track in the Stock 200 class. Jack Gelinas rode his #680 sled to 10 podium finishes, finishing in first place seven times. That was enough to capture the Stock 200 Championship by over 200 points.
As Gelinas moves up and out of the ROX 200 class for the 2024/2025 season who will step up and capture the top spot?
Also sponsored by ROX Speed FX, the 120 Champ class sees the return of two of its most successful racers from the 2023/24 campaign. Kody Krantz and Henry Dillon are back in the Rox 120 Champ class this year. Krantz finished second, while Dillon placed third in the 2023/24 points championship.
Will one of those two sledders rise to the top of the ROX 120 Champ class, or will there be a new contender who emerges to take the throne? Keep your eyes tuned into this class to find out.
Speedwerx, a leading manufacturer of performance snowmobile parts, is sponsoring the Transition 8-to-10-year-old class. With the ongoing commitment from Speedwerx dedicated to supporting ambitious junior riders in developing their racing talent, Snocross is very grateful for this partnership.
Last season, Tripp Knudson swept a total of four weekends, three being back-to-back. That’s impressive racing. Will a rider be able to top that in the Speedwerx Transition 8-10 class this year? These young sledders are getting better and better every year.
The 1911 Beef Transition 9-to-13-year-old class is evidence of the rising popularity of Snocross racing. Throughout the 2023/24 season, 54 different racers hit the tracks in the Transition 9-13 division. Guess what? Even more riders are competing in the class this year, with many racers aging up to the division. The future of Snocross racing looks brighter than ever!
If you are in the market for premium 100% Angus beef from hand-selected American cattle ranches, look no further than 1911 Beef. All their beef is 100% Angus from some of the best Texas-raised cattle in the business. After all, sledding always works up an appetite. You might as well satisfy it with a delicious steak dinner.
As a multi-discipline, internationally ranked motorsports race team, Woodies Racing is already a well-known name throughout Snocross. Their sponsorship for the Woodies Racing Junior Girls 9-13 class is helping Snocross take the sport to new heights. This class is competitive and exciting to watch for fans.
Avery Hemmer and Victoria Dillon achieved a podium finish at every event last season. Do you know how difficult it is to do that? It takes skill, determination, and laser-like focus.
Although Dillon is moving on to the Pro AM Women class this season, Hemmer remains in the Junior Girls class and will attempt to claim another Jr. Girls 9-to-13-year-old class Championship. Or, will there be another girl who emerges to contend? When it comes to Snocross racing, anything can happen!
Snocross welcomes a new partnership for the Pete Transport Junior 10-13 class this season. Pete Transport LLC began with a single truck 20 years ago and turned it into a large, successful fleet throughout the Midwest. The owners of Pete Transport, Shonda and Brian Pete, are avid snowmobilers and are excited about the opportunity to contribute to the growth of Snocross racing.
Last year, Tavin Knudson won 11 out of 14 of his heat races. Will he repeat that kind of dominant performance as he moves up classes? Many fresh faces are entering the Pete Transport Junior 10-13 class this season it will be interesting to see who takes hold of the class.
Racers want to win every single race, but winning isn’t easy. The next generation of racers will eye the crown, while the seasoned 10-to-13-year-old sledders will be ready to show them a thing or two.
