The 2024 Castrol FloRacing Night in America season came to a close this weekend with the second running of the Peach State Classic at Georgia's Senoia Raceway.

Ricky Thornton Jr. put together a flawless performance in Saturday's finale, leading all 75 laps to win his second straight Peach State Classic while also upending 11th-finishing Bobby Pierce for the Castrol FloRacing Night in America title.

Thornton topped pole-starting Zack Mitchell by 2.880 seconds for a $105,000 night ($30,000 for the feature win and $75,000 for miniseries title). Thornton’s Peach State Classic sweep completed the comeback in the Castrol miniseries title race over Pierce, whose 26th-to-11th run Saturday left him 12 points short of the title. 

Pierce needed to finish sixth or better Saturday, but his uncharacteristically slow start (19th in 26-car Group B qualifying and seventh-place heat finish) that eventually made him fall back on a provisional made that task difficult.
